Exceptionally good animation. The old-fashioned enamel versus the modern stainless steel. The scene at the station is a feast.

Tried this one and it turned out better than expected. Visually I thought it was a beautiful animation film that was very creative in the beginning (with the slides and such) and made it attractive for children.

In terms of humor, there were also some cool jokes for young and old.

Other than that, the movie wasn't boring.

I didn't have great expectations, but thought it was worth watching.

ugh.

Apparently missed this one on release...I barely knew the movie actually. But added this weekend on Netflix, so I gave it a chance. Obviously didn't have to, because I've really seen things like this now.

10 years after release, Robots looks really awful. The CG is flat and way too shiny, technically it doesn't have much more to offer. But it is mainly the ugly style that makes this film a monstrosity. Stupid figures who are constantly hyperactive walking.

Now you could also criticize one of my top 10 films, but hyperactive is really hyperactive there. Not a little bit of Britney Spears singing and otherwise just being busy. Which brings us straight to the awful humor. Sad movie references, some provoking puns and very bad visual jokes make those 90 minutes a real torture.

No, this can just go to the scrap heap. I think I liked the bad guy ideas in this movie the most.

0.5*
