Marshal of Amarillo plot
"FLYING LEAD...FLYING FISTS...Along the Danger Trail!"
Nugget Clark, James Underwood and Hiram Short walk to the 'Half-Way House' after coachman Ben Dolan purposely strands his stagecoach while trying to evade a masked attacker. Late at night, the party arrives at the remote and haunted Half-Way House, where the sinister Frank Welch is in charge. Nugget therefore quickly leaves for Amarillo, Texas. At the time, Nugget doesn't know yet that Short's dead body is in the stagecoach. When Marshal Rocky Lane of Amarillo arrives at the stagecoach, after questioning Nugget, he sets out in search of Underwood. Lane learns from Underwood's daughter Marjorie that her father was carrying $50,000 in cash.
