The Secret of Convict Lake plot
"6 women at the mercy of the west's most dangerous outlaws !"
Convict Lake, California, winter of 1871. Unjustly convicted Jim Canfield escapes with five serious criminals led by the violent Johnny Greer from a prison in Carson City, Nevada. On the way, due to a heavy snow storm, the men have to take shelter in a village Convict Lake, where only women are present at that time. Their partners are gone because a silver vein has been found. The women allow them to stay until the storm has passed. The men agree. Tensions arise within the party when one of them reveals that he has hidden a stolen sum of $40,000 worth of money in the area. Jim has meanwhile fallen in love with the attractive brunette Marcia Stoddard, but he has to determine that it was her fiancé Rudy Schaeffer, who has falsely accused him in the past.
