Junction plot
"Profit or death"
'Junction' shows the contemporary opioid crisis in America from three different points of view. Michael struggles with an opioid addiction and takes up to 50 pills a day to keep himself going. However, he is forgetting this battle, as is his family. Gynecologist Mary has turned her practice into a pain management center, where she prescribes pills to people who suggest they have physical problems. Lawrence is the head of KanMed, a major pharmaceutical company that specializes in the distribution of oxycodone. He is preparing for a major lawsuit as the company is accused of predatory business practices. His son Jacob tries to circumvent his father's power so that he can take over KanMed.
