Nice.

Although in my opinion it could be much more fun, crazier and more absurd. And partly because of that, I still have a bit of an empty feeling about this film. Also really the first film by the Coens that I like. Because to be honest, the atmosphere is beautiful. That creepy hotel, the lights and that whole 1940s setting are beautifully done. Add a character head like Turturro to that and you've got yourself a very quirky, almost paranoid film.

Still, I'll stick to a 3.5 *, because in my opinion it's all too good. It can still be crazy for me.

Didn't enjoy this film much, a satire on Hollywood that I really never got into.

A lot of symbolism is used but often found it difficult to place it all so that eventually boredom creeped in.

A second turn might trigger a little more appreciation, but film is still outside my field of interest.

I thought John Goodman played well.
