Young couple Annie (Meagan Good) and Scott (Michael Ealy) buy a beautiful estate in Napa Valley. Little do they know, however, that Charlie Peck, the previous owner, has no intention of handing over his house. A battle erupts in which Annie and Scott must fight for their lives.

Film looks nice ... despite the fact that you know what's coming, it remains a nice film.
Much is due to Dennis Quaid's acting.
There is not much else to say about it .. just a nice binocular.

A trite story without much tension. The Intruder interferes with two self-satisfied snobs who buy a beautiful house with lots of land but can't enjoy it because the former owner is stalking. A story that in itself has some potential, if well developed.
Unfortunately, the big problem with the film is that hardly any tension is built up. Director Deon Taylor tells the story far too unambiguously. There is simply no mysterious fun to be had from the film. Instead of sprinkling with surprising twists to stir up the viewer's paranoia, the film is soporifically overflowing with tension-free clichés.
The stalker is played by good old Dennis Quaid who manages to escape the dull malaise of his character somewhat. Some scenes with Quaid are even a little creepy. Of course, that doesn't save the film. It remains bad. Still, with the help of those Quaid moments, the film sometimes revives. To be fair, I have to add that there are also Quaid moments when the man is glaring so much that the stalker makes a ridiculous rather than a threatening impression.
The Intruder is a terrifying movie. Terrifyingly boring, I mean.

Nice intruder/stalker film like many made in the 90s and 2000s, I love it.
The story is almost always the same: a couple in a good neighborhood is being stalked by an acquaintance. It all starts out friendly, then it gets disturbing and it gets a bit out of hand, finally seeing their lives turn into a thriller. This never gets boring for me.
Actors were excellent in their roles and the tension is always good. More of this!
