I think it's the second time I saw this one, because I did remember a few things. The beginning with Eddie Kim and Jackson trying to get into the hold of the plane.

Yippee-Ki-Yay, motherfucker! was most appropriate here. The only thing missing here is Bruce Willis. Those motherfucking snakes wouldn't have stood a chance. I also appreciated the humor of the film, especially at the end when Troy, who only has 2000 hours of playing experience on a flight simulator on the Playstation 2, lands a plane.
Some things are a bit ridiculous like that trap that collapses, ok there were a lot of people on it but a staircase is made for getting up. For the rest well entertained so this one gets 3.5*.

Better than expected.

Snakes on a Plane is a movie where I doubted for a long time whether I should watch it. Partly because, as mentioned here, the snakes look pretty fake. That scene that that man is strangled and eaten by a giant snake doesn't look like much. Also the images of the flight from the outside could have been better. Still, it's all good to watch, as long as you put your mind to zero and don't take it too literally. The humor present is quite good (especially the assistants of the rapper), the attacks of the blows are violent and raw so that the tension is there all the time, the acting is fine and Samuel L Jackson actually doesn't work on you once nerves and puts down a good role. And then of course the genius quote: Enough is enough. I have had it with these motherfucking snakes on this motherfucking plane!!!

In my opinion the biggest problem is the story. The part on the plane is very entertaining but I found the beginning rushed and only half finished. Now I also know that something like that comes second. But they should have put more time into this. for example, you will not see the moment that the key witness agrees. Also at the very end, the lawsuit against Kim is not even shown and instead a surf scene. This is a bit of a letdown. It's actually the reason he flew to LA.
Still, it's definitely a great movie. I can understand that some people rate him a bit low given the CGI and plot. But as pure entertainment I can recommend it. It is also not level Anaconda or Sharknado.

3.5*
