In the 1970s, editor-in-chief Hans Knoop of the weekly magazine Accent received a telephone call with a very specific question. How is it possible that art dealer Pieter Menten is still walking around free? During the Second World War in Poland, it turns out that he had horrific deeds on his conscience as an SS man. If Knoop publishes an article about this, the Menten Case will start rolling with major consequences for both Menten and Knoop.
