The Equalizer plot

Robert McCall is a former agent of a secret US government agency known only by the pseudonyms 'The Agency' and 'The Company'. As 'The Equalizer', he tries to come to terms with his past by assisting people who are dealing with the force majeure of all kinds of crime, without asking for money or anything in return. McCall regularly uses his contacts to do this and regularly consults with 'Control', the New York chief of The Agency. People in need of his services can contact him at the phone number he lists in a newspaper ad placed by him.
