Sweet Magnolias plot
Maddie lives in Serenity with her two best friends Dana and Helen. They have been together since school and have been through a lot. Sometimes, very occasionally, I don't feel like watching something gruesome and/or cynical. Like when I started this series. And it was the perfect choice for that! Easy story, slow pace, beautiful images from a small community in the US, good - mostly positive - characters, lots of romance and love(sadness). Doesn't make sense at all, but looks away.

Pooh, you have to have stamina for this. I'm usually not averse to sweet no-nonsense series, such as Gilmore Girls or Virgin River, but this is a bouquet novel come to life. It's so predictable and cheesy that this was too much of a good thing for me. I have successfully predicted at least ten times what was going to happen or what would be said. And beyond that, the overkill of teen drama and Christianity was not my cup of tea.
