You know that a series has got you if you start looking up additional info on YouTube and Google after (and sometimes even during) watching. So "Narcos season I & II" really got me. Fascinating series about the rise and fall of the Colombian drug empire in the 80s & 90s, in which the Capo di Tutti Capi Pablo Escobar played a leading role. Wagner Moura convincingly plays Escobar (although it was clear to me that he is not actually Spanish-speaking by origin; speak South American Spanish myself). The other characters are also well played; especially Pedro Pascal - who plays DEA agent Javier Pena - I really liked.

Excellent Netflix series, at times quite gory and violent, about drug lord Pablo Escobar and the DEA agents who hunt him. Intelligently and excitingly put together, as well as excellently filmed and played.
