The Outsider plot

The Outsider follows the exploits of David Ross, an ex-con who spent six years in prison for a murder he didn't commit. Ross is a loner who started working as a private investigator in Los Angeles after his release. In this way, he tries to alleviate his financial woes, while at the same time solving other people's problems.
