The Wheel of Time season 1

The series has its moments. Still, the actors still have to grow. That's what I thought of Ciri in The Witcher. In season 2 she is so much more mature and has a much more interesting story. Here I also think that Egwene, Rand and the blacksmith are not yet on level. Ninaeve is my favorite because she's so badass, she goes against others, she protects her friends and her powers are mysterious. Rosamund Pike was the only actress I knew about this from her film history. She does a fine job as Aes Sedai, with her sharp and rather emotionless facial expression. As far as I'm concerned, I found this most comparable to Shadow & Bone. The Witcher is much darker and less epic fantasy than Game of Thrones or LOTR. I've never read these books, but I don't mind if there is a series of them, you get to know more or less the same story.

The Wheel of Time season 1

I have already read the series of books twice and listened to audiobooks once and was looking forward to this series. Based on the first 3 episodes I can only say that my expectations are completely met and I also find it a bit strange to finally see real faces on the characters. Of course it all goes a bit faster than in the books, but that's to be expected when you film a storyline that is sometimes very drawn out and slow. Nice work by prime

The Wheel of Time season 1

This series seems to have cost a fortune, but that is only because of the quantity and not quality.
I was really annoyed by the bad acting (especially Madeleine Madden & Josha Stradowski). The facial expression and the reactions in dialogues were really not good. The series is also really packed (if you pay attention you notice it every time) editing errors. When cutting and pasting, they suddenly look different, a tear has disappeared from the cheek or they suddenly look the other way.
I also fully agree with the review above by Lucaij, the ethnic diversity is fine, but it seems forced to me.

I'm afraid my expectations were too high after reading that this should be a grand and compelling whole that could compete with Game of Thrones in terms of execution. Nothing could be further from the truth unfortunately.

Again "I" feel they have placed quantity over quality.

Largely set up with no eye for detail and finish.
