Arcadia plot

After a huge disaster, a new society emerges: 'Arcadia'. Here, the fate of citizens is determined by their personal citizen score. Thanks to their high scores, the Hendriks family can lead a good and safe life in Arcadia. Everything changes when it turns out that father Pieter has cheated with their daughters' scores. As punishment, he is banished to the outside world, a place where almost no one survives. His wife and four daughters are left behind and receive demerit points for his fraud. As a result, all their privileges will expire. How does the family cope in this new society that should be perfect, but turns out to be full of deceit and betrayal? Do they choose each other? Or each for himself?

Als je bedenkt dat dit tijdens Corona opgenomen ( de bruiloft op grote afstand, geen grote groep mensen) dan krijg je respect voor de gekozen locaties en decors. Hou je van dystopische series, dan zit je goed hier. De desolate sfeer is fantastisch. DDR en China als actuele voorbeelden! De combinatie van retro-oud en futuristisch nieuw lijkt vreemd maar raakt de sfeer precies; hilarisch de cassettebandjes, auto’s en biepers. Omdat dit in onze achtertuin is gefilmd (Veluwe, Gileppe dam, Antwerpen) verdient de productie alleen maar nog meer respect voor de desolate futuristische sfeer! locatietour de Arcadia: we komen eraan. Acteurs? Een aantal echte pareltjes! Maar soms zoals gewoonlijk te zachte conversaties. TV lineair kijken? Wie doet dat nog? in één keer wegbingen deze serie. Gewoon kijken en genieten! Echt niet slecht; kom maar op met seizoen 2

If you consider that this was recorded during Corona (the wedding at a great distance, not a large group of people) you get respect for the chosen locations and decors. If you like dystopian series, then you're in the right place. The desolate atmosphere is fantastic. GDR and China as current examples! The combination of retro old and futuristic new seems strange but hits the right spot; hilarious the cassette tapes, cars and beepers.

Because this was filmed in our backyard (Veluwe, Gileppe dam, Antwerp) the production only deserves more respect for the desolate futuristic atmosphere! location tour the Arcadia: we are coming.

Actors? Some real gems! But sometimes too soft conversations as usual.

Watch linear TV? Who still does that? binging this series in one go. Just watch and enjoy!

Best aardig. Je moet er echt even inkomen en aan het idee en verhaal wennen maar ik vond het uiteindelijk best vermakelijk. Drie sterren.

Pretty nice. You really have to get into it and get used to the idea and story, but I found it quite entertaining in the end. Three stars.
