JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - According to an Appearance Form filed with the Mississippi Supreme Court, Carly Gregg now has a new attorney.

The form filed on March 26th now has Carthage attorney James Murphy as lead counsel for Carly Gregg, effectively replacing Attorney Kevin Camp and Attorney Bridget Todd, who now resides in Utah.

Murphy will be representing Gregg before the Mississippi Supreme Court.

According to Murphy’s law firm website, his Areas of Practice are Worker’s Compensation, Motor Vehicle Accidents, Admiralty and Maritime Law, DUI/DWI, and Personal Injury.

Last September, Gregg was found guilty of murdering her mother, Ashley Smiley, the attempted murder of her stepfather, Heath Smiley, and tampering with evidence. She was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
