Dbrand Switch 2 Killswitch case reservations are now available

Dbrand has opened reservations for its Switch 2 Killswitch case today, and we've just got an extensive new look at the upcoming case. Shipping is expected to align with the launch of Nintendo's new flagship console on June 5th, and there's a £3/$3 reseveration fee to pay (credited towards the final purchase).

Dbrand, one of the first manufacturers to leak Switch 2 details, has been teasing its new Killswitch case since Nintendo officially revealed the Switch successor in January. Now, with "over 100,000 users" on the waitlist, according to Dbrand, the wait appears to be over.

Following its previous releases for the Steam Deck and ROG Ally, the Switch 2 Killswitch looks to Dbrand's focus on ergonomics, drop protection, and modular accessories. The case will feature an impact-resistant polycarbonate shell with a rubberized grip, designed to improve handheld comfort and reduce strain during extended play sessions.

The new Switch 2 Joy-Cons can even be detached without any adhesives, using a friction-fit design. The case also supports the console's built-in kickstand and includes a dock adapter with USB-C pass-through, allowing it to stay attached while charging or in docked mode.

The case also refines its grip design, borrowing from its well-regarded Steam Deck variant to enhance handheld comfort without excess bulk. The reinforced build keeps things lightweight while improving durability, making it a strong option for on-the-go gaming.

There's also a semi-transparent, crush-resistant travel cover is included, along with a snap-in game card holder capable of storing up to 10 physical Switch games. What's neat is that doubles as a display feature, seemingly looking like it can keep game cartridges easily accessible while on the move.

While pricing has yet to be revealed — though the Killswitch for Steam Deck starts at £65 / $65 — reservations are now live at Dbrand. The updated Killswitch is expected to arrive just in time for the Switch 2 launch on June 5. Given that RockPaperShotgun hails the Killswitch as the best Steam Deck case available, its evolution for Nintendo's next handheld should be one to watch.
