Get £10 off Nintendo Switch 2 games and accessories thanks to a new Argos UK promotion

Physical purchases get the upper hand over digital again, at least for now.

The high prices of Nintendo Switch 2 games might have made the console's new titles off-putting for some, but Argos has provided a way to take the sting off with a £10 voucher you can spend on Donkey Kong Bananza, Mario Kart World, the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller, and anything else from the range you might like.

This comes through a new promotion available with the retailer from now until Wednesday, 18th June, where you can sign up to receive marketing emails in exchange for a unique voucher code that will give you £10 off an order of at least £60.

This falls perfectly in line with Nintendo 2 Switch games, with pre-orders on Donkey Kong Banaza and Mario Kart World being sold at Argos for £64.99 and £74.99 respectively. We received our code well within the 15 minutes the terms & conditions stated, making it so we'd only have to pay £54.99 or £64.99 for buying either physical game.

£54.99 with Argos £10 off code (was £64.99). £1.95 delivery.

You will have to pay up immediately instead of at dispatch, which is normally the case with Argos, but it is still a tidy saving. The deadline for each code to be used once generated is around 12 days, but check yours just to be safe.

One catch is that you're only able to get one of these voucher codes if you haven't signed up to receive marketing emails with Argos already. However, we've found that you can simply sign up with an alternate email address to receive the code there instead.

The other is that you'll have to pay £1.95 for delivery, because Argos only provides free shipping on orders over £100.

It's a slightly annoying wrinkle - and you can't get around this by ordering both Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza at the same time, as Argos will still apply the £1.95 charge to both as they need to be dispatched with different deliveries, due to Mario Kart World launching on 5th June and Donkey Kong Banaza not arriving until 17th July.

Argos doesn't seem to allow the free store collection option on pre-orders like these either, since the stock isn't physically available yet.

With the promotion running until 18th June, you could save this until at least 5th June to try the offer with Mario Kart World or the Switch 2 Pro Controller when units will physically be in stores, but keep in mind we can't guarantee stock will be available. That said, saving £8.05 off one of these expensive new games is still nothing to turn your nose up at.

If you wanted to grab both games, however - and accessories like the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller or a second pair of Joy-Cons - you can use the promotion to get the £10 discount multiple times, as long as you have an additional unused email address to sign up.

You will still have to pay the £1.95 delivery, but you'll still be able to make additional amounts of the £8.05 saving. That's even if the Argos account you're ordering with is different from the email address you generated the voucher code with.

If you don't want to receive marketing emails from Argos after you've placed your pre-orders on your shiny new Nintendo 2 Switch game, simply go back to the email you got your voucher code on and select the "Unsubscribe from Argos Emails" at the very bottom.

In the event you're still looking for the new console to grab for yourself, check out our Nintendo Switch pre-orders 2 hub page that's being continuously updated with when and where you can find new stock and even more deals.
