A man was shot and killed in Hartford on Tuesday evening.
The victim was found unresponsive on the road when police responded to the area of 84 Vine St. upon receiving a ShotSpotter alert at 6:53 p.m., according to Lt. Aaron Boisvert of the Hartford Police Department.
The man, identified as 50-year-old Michael Coleman of Hartford, was taken in an ambulance to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead, Boisvert said.
The Hartford Police Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions responded and assumed the investigation. The investigation remains ongoing.
