Learn about monument styles often found in 19th-century cemeteries in this new walking tour of Hartford’s historic Cedar Hill. From the sarcophagus to the obelisk, Celtic cross, pyramid and more, Foundation Director Beverly Lucas will discuss the artistic and architectural design of the cemetery’s illustrious memorials.
Cedar Hill Cemetery is located at 453 Fairfield Avenue in Hartford. Admission to the program is $5.00 and free for Cedar Hill Cemetery Foundation members. Advanced reservations are not required. The tour begins at the flagpole at the end of the entrance drive.
