Bristol City move into Championship play-off places
Bristol City moved into the Championship play-off places with a 2-1 win against Norwich at Ashton Gate on Friday.
Mark Sykes put City ahead after six minutes with a curling strike to finish a move started by Rob Dickie's surge out of defence.
The hosts netted again in the 23rd minute when Norwich defender Jose Cordoba was caught in possession and Joe Williams picked out Nahki Wells, whose clever turn and low shot beat goalkeeper George Long.
Borja Sainz got one back for Norwich with a close-range finish from Callum Doyle's 82nd-minute cross, but despite late pressure the Canaries could not force an equaliser.
City are up to fifth place as they battle to secure the top-six berth that guarantees a spot in the four-team end-of-season play-offs for a place in the Premier League.
