I'm a true Missourian who's never lived anywhere else
[On Missouri values}: "We've been really blessed," Kehoe said. "Claudia and I think it's our time to give back to Missourians. It's been a good community and state to us--Missourians have welcomed us into their homes.
I love this state, I'm a true Missourian who's never lived anywhere else, and I think it's our opportunity to give back."

I very much enjoy the agricultural way of life
Starting from scratch, the first-generation farmer, who runs cattle and puts up his own hay, is responsible for roughly 750 acres. It's not something he did overnight, spending years building his operation to what it is now. And it's a move he made
simply because he enjoys the work.
"I very much enjoy the agricultural way of life," said Kehoe. "Just getting out, fixing some fence, working some cows, cutting some hay, splitting some woodfor me is relaxing."

We are a country built on faith, specifically on God
As a state senator, he occasionally heard from constituents who asserted that his faith should have no bearing on his politics. This often came in light of issues such as abortion and marriage.
"But I said when I was running that
I'm a Catholic family man with strong values, and the people elected me," he said. "So I'm giving them what they voted for."
"We are a country built on faith, specifically on God," he said.

If you want to do something you can do it in this country
He believes an important part of being American is not taking for granted the freedom and opportunities this country provides. "I believe that's what this country does," he said. "It affords anybody the opportunity who really
wants to succeed--and different definitions of success, I understand, are out there--but if you want to do something, you can do it in this country."

Amend constitution to protect religious liberties
State Sen. Kehoe voted YES on SJR 39: to allow Missouri voters to decide whether the state constitution should be amended to protect Missourians' religious freedoms.
Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder testifying in support: "SJR 39 boils down to a
simple question, whether Missourians should be given the chance to decide whether the Missouri constitution should be amended to provide vital protections for all Missourians' religious liberties," Kinder said. "This is not about discrimination, as
opponents are trying to spin it. It is purely about letting voters have a voice on reserving a zone of protected activity based on their sincere religious convictions. This zone of religious liberty is a foundational principle of America: a morally,
legally, philosophically, and ideologically neutral principle available to all comers. SJR39 is but another piece of the fabric of religious liberty that everyone in America enjoys, whether Christian, Jewish, Mormon, Muslim, Hindu or atheist."
