Title

Virtual Southeast Asia

Description Long

The Virtual Southeast Asia collection has two parts. The first is a set of photographs taken by Gregory Green, Curator of the John M. Echols Collection on Southeast Asia, while he traveled throughout Southeast Asia in 2010. These photographs largely depict temples and architecture in the region and were uploaded to SEADL in 2015. The second portion of this project provides a mapping interface to many of the Southeast Asia Digital Library's items. The interface allows anyone to view a location associated with each image or item’s creation or subject. The mapping allows for viewing the library's holdings on a global scale and allows for drilling down to the micro level to view individual images. Please note that we do not have exact geographic coordinates for each item displayed on the map. This tool is to provide an alternate means of viewing SEADL items, not to relay granular geospatial data. Explore the links on the map to view these items on SEADL.
