UNICEF in Serbia and the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia have begun preparations for the implementation of the seventh cycle of the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS). The seventh cycle of MICS in Serbia, including field implementation, will be conducted during 2025.

The Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia is organizing the conference "Synergy of Statistics and Science - A New Dimension of the Census Data" in Zlatibor from 11 to 14 March 2025.

Prices of goods and services used for personal consumption in February 2025 in relation to January 2025 increased by 0.5% on average.

The total number of passenger road motor vehicles that entered the Republic of Serbia in the fourth quarter 2024 increased by 12.0%, compared to the same period of the previous year. The number of vehicles registered in our country increased by 32.2%, while the number of vehicles registered abroad increased by 0.3%. Among foreign vehicles, the largest number was registered in Romania, 6.1%, Germany, 5.8%, and Hungary, 4.4%.

From the total number of first-time registered road motor vehicles and trailers during the fourth quarter of 2024, produced in 2024, in relation to the total number of registered vehicles, the most represented were mopeds (76.4%), while the number of new agricultural tractors was the smallest (11.7%).

According to the preliminary data, operating income in non-financial business economy in the Republic of Serbia in the fourth quarter of 2024 increased by 6.3 % relative to the same period of the previous year, while compared to the third quarter of 2024, the increase of 9.2% was noted. In the Information and Communication Sector, operating income were increased by 11.6% relative to the same period of the previous year, while compared to the third quarter of 2024, the increase of 25.5% was noted.

Total turnover value of agricultural products on green-markets in the Republic of Serbia in the fourth quarter of 2024, relative to the same period 2023, increased by 6.6% at current prices. Comparing 2024 with 2023, turnover noted increase of 4.4% at current prices.

Wholesale and retail trade turnover of motor vehicles and motorcycles (division 45 of the Classification of Activities 2010) in the Republic of Serbia in the fourth quarter of 2024, compared with the same quarter of previous year, increased by 7.4% at current prices. When comparing 2024 with the previous year, the turnover increased by 10.0% at current prices and by 6.7% at constant prices.

When comparing with the same period last year, the wholesale turnover excluding motor vehicles and motorcycles trade (CA division 46) in the fourth quarter 2024 in the Republic of Serbia increased by 1.0% at current prices. In 2024, compared with the previous year, wholesale trade increased by 3.8% at current prices and by 4.1% at constant prices.

Retail trade turnover excluding motor vehicles and motorcycles trade (CA division 47) in the Republic of Serbia increased by 4.8% at current prices in the fourth quarter of 2024 compared to the same quarter of 2023. In 2024, when compared with the previous year, the retail trade turnover increased by 9.2% at current prices and by 5.4% at constant prices.
