Jade Cargill’s first pinfall loss in WWE feels wasted, even if it’s a clear sign she will be treated much differently than she was in AEW.
WWE chose Liv Morgan to be the first person to pin Cargill’s shoulders to the mat in the company and for just the third time in her career, period.
It happened during a match on a taped “SmackDown” from Bologna, Italy — so spoilers were out there for the U.S. fans who couldn’t watch live on Netflix — after Cargill was distracted by Naomi.
WWE’s newest heel smashed Cargill in the head with a women’s tag team championship belt in a match that had zero stakes and was Cargill’s first since being written off TV with a November parking lot attack by Naomi. Morgan delivered her Oblivion finisher to Cargill to win the match.
