AMERICAN HORROR STORY (FX) - Michaela Jaé Rodriguez is the latest addition to the show's 12th season, which has also confirmed Matt Czuchry and Annabelle Dexter-Jones. They'll join the previously announced Kim Kardashian, Emma Roberts and Cara Delevingne. (Deadline.com)
BEANTOWN (CBS, New!) - Dan Kopelman has sold a multi-camera comedy to the network "set in a Boston coffeehouse, where employees and patrons share their lives and experiences while also discussing the events of the day. And that day happens to be in 1773. As hinted by the series' timing and location, it will be set against the backdrop of the Boston Tea Party and the events surrounding it." Aaron Kaplan and Melanie Frankel of Kapital Entertainment and Wendi Trilling of TrillTV will also executive produce for CBS Studios. (Deadline.com)
GOOD DOCTOR, THE (ABC) - Brandon Larracuente's Daniel Perez is exiting the veteran drama as a series regular, having scored the lead on the aforementioned "On Call." (Deadline.com)
LONELY HEARTS CLUB (Peacock, New!) - Aidy Bryant is attached to star in a dramedy series at the streamer: "Set in the late 1940s, "Lonely Hearts Club" is described as a darkly comedic true crime thriller about a lonely woman who falls in love with a dim but handsome con man. Together they form an unlikely "Loser-Bonnie-and-Clyde"-style partnership that ends in lies, murder and the electric chair." Bryant and Rob Klein are co-writing the project, which is based on an episode of the Crime Junkies podcast entitled "Infamous: The 'Lonely Hearts' Killers." Ari Aster, Ashley Flowers, Kevin Mills, Lars Knudsen and Emily Hildner are also executive producing for Universal Television, Green Bouquet, Audiochuck and Square Peg. (Variety.com)
LOVE & MURDER: ATLANTA PLAYBOY (BET+) - Keesha Sharp will star opposite Taye Diggs in the true crime film series as Blair Herndon, Lance's (Diggs) ex-wife. (Deadline.com)
MASTERMIND (Hulu, New!) - The streamer has commissioned a four-part documentary series about Dr. Ann Burgess, "the architect of the FBI's "mindhunter" method that was made famous by the fictionalized Wendy Carr character in the 2017 Netflix limited series." Campfire Studios and Lewellen Pictures are behind the project with Ross Dinerstein, Lesley Chilcott, Rebecca Halpern, Rebecca Evans, Dakota Fanning, Elle Fanning, and director Abby Fuller executive producing. Co-executive producers include Dani Sloane, Ross Girard, and Mark McCune with Burgess as a consulting producer. (Deadline.com)
ON CALL (Amazon) - Troian Bellisario and Brandon Larracuente have been tapped to star in the long-in-the-works half-hour drama, "following Traci Harmon, a veteran female training officer (Belisario) and her rookie male ride-along, Alex Diaz (Larracuente), as they navigate the loss of a fellow officer and politics of modern day policing - in the department and on the streets of Long Beach." The project, which has an eight-episode order, will stream on Amazon's main platform, Prime Video, after originally being set up on Amazon Freevee. Writers Tim Walsh and Elliot Wolf and director Eriq LaSalle are spearheading the effort for Wolf Entertainment, Amazon Studios and Universal Television. Ben Watkins had previously been attached as showrunner. Dick Wolf, Arthur Forney and Peter Jankowski are also executive producers. (Deadline.com)
SERVERANCE (Apple TV+) - Beau Willimon has joined the auspices of the show's second season. Said report indicates the show "is facing significant delays in the wake of a falling out between co-showrunners Dan Erickson and Mark Friedman." (Puck.News)
