AVALON (ABC) - Demetrius Grosse has been cast in the David E. Kelley's latest offering for the network as Senior Deputy Dayo Musa, "who is assigned to Catalina Island, a post he's resentful of as he was not promoted to detective. His core value seems to be defiance. Cynicism informs his every move about working the island, but despite the harsh words and terse manner, he's got a really good heart." (Deadline.com)
BOB (HEARTS) ABISHOLA (CBS) - Gina Yashere and Matt Ross have been promoted to co-showrunners alongside Al Higgins and Chuck Lorre for the upcoming fourth season of the series. (Deadline.com)
CRIMINAL RECORD (Apple TV+) - The Peter Capaldi/Cush Jumbo-led drama has cast Dionne Brown, Stephen Campbell Moore, Charlie Creed-Miles, Shaun Dooley, Aysha Kala, Tom Moutchi and Zoë Wanamaker in yet-to-be-revealed roles. (Deadline.com)
FOR ALL MANKIND (Apple TV+) - Daniel Stern has joined the cast of the show's fourth season as Eli Hobson, "the new administrator at NASA. A former auto industry CEO, he's been tasked with bringing the agency into the 21st century, a challenge much bigger than he anticipated." (Deadline.com)
GIRLS ON THE BUS, THE (HBO Max) - Brandon Scott has joined the cast of the upcoming drama as "the fiercest political flack in the game, who has just been hired as press secretary to the presidential front-runner"; with Griffin Dunne set to recur as Bruce Turner, "Sadie McCarthy's award-winning, grizzled editor and mentor at the paper of record"; Leslie Fray as Nellie Carmichael, "a junior correspondent at Liberty National News alongside Kimberlyn"; P.J. Sosco as "famed gonzo journalist Hunter S. Thompson"; Becky Ann Baker as Norah, "Sadie's protective mother, who is not happy that Sadie is re-entering the political arena"; Kyle Vincent Terry as Eric Jordan, "Kimberlyn's adoring and supportive boyfriend"; Tala Ashe as "an offbeat yet accessible progressive who is Lola's clear favorite in the presidential race"; and Richard Bekins as "a seasoned elder statesman and politician from the bygone days (1990s) who has been running for president since Sadie was in diapers." GOLDBERGS, THE (ABC) - Jeff Garlin's Murray Goldberg will be formally written out of the series during the upcoming season premiere. The actor previously exited after being "accused of inappropriate behavior and was the subject of HR investigations." (EW.com)

NORTH SHORE (Pramount+, New!) - Mike Bullen has booked a six-part series at the streamer which "follows the clash of cultures when British and Australian detectives team to solve a complex murder mystery, and uncover a conspiracy with international political consequences." Beach Road Pictures' David Maher and David Taylor will also presumably executive produce the project with Gregor Jordan directing and Marcia Gardner also writing. (Deadline.com)
SPIDERWICK CHRONICLES, THE (Disney+) - Joy Bryant has been cast in the book-turned-TV series as Helen Grace: "Helen is described as smart, loving, and strong. In the wake of her divorce, Helen uproots her family from their home in Brooklyn to her grandfather Arthur Spiderwick's estate in Michigan. A mother of three teenagers, she is doing everything she can to provide for her family while also trying to help her son Jared resolve his mental health issues." (Variety.com)
WARRIOR (HBO Max) - The show's third season has tapped the following for recurring roles: Telly Leung as Marcel, "a nomadic Chinese nightclub singer, working on the Barbary Coast"; Kevin Otto as Horace Clark, "Bill's (Kieran Bew) condescending brother-in-law and owner of a successful cement factory"; Adam Rayner as Douglas Strickland III, "a ruthless railroad baron and an old friend of Nellie's husband"; Nick Cordileone as Edmund Mosely, "a Secret Service agent who comes to San Francisco to pursue an important case"; Dominique Maher as Catherine Archer, "a political booster who takes an interest in Mayor Buckley"; Neels Claasen as Benjamin Atwood, "the newly-appointed Chief of the San Francisco Police"; Sean Marco as Stewart Gumm, "Mayor Buckley's conniving right-hand man"; Jazzara Jaslyn as Eliza Pendleton, "a wealthy socialite who takes an interest in Mai Ling"; Colin Moss as Franklin Thayer, "a charismatic candidate for San Francisco Mayor"; Sizo Mahlangu as Isaac, "the ruthless lieutenant to Happy Jack and a notorious Barbary Coast gangster."
