Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone has broken just about every film record on its opening weekend.
The movie took a whopping �16m in the UK, smashing the record previously held by Star Wars: Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace, which took �9.5m.
Children and adults flocked to cinemas across the country to see the first film based on JK Rowling's best-selling wizard books.

It also broke all records in America, where it took �65m on the first three days.
The Philosopher's Stone cost filmmakers Warner Brothers around �90m to make, but it has earned almost that already in its first weekend.
