Lisa D. Herndon is a judge on the Fifth Circuit Court in Florida. She was appointed by Governor Rick Scott in November of 2011 to succeed T. Michael Johnson (effective January 2012).[1] She was later re-elected without opposition in 2014, winning a six-year term that expires on January 4, 2021.[2][3]

Education
Herndon received her undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida and her J.D. from the Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law.[1]
Career
Prior to her appointment to the bench, Herndon served as assistant state attorney for the Fifth Judicial Circuit from 1997 to 2011. Before that, she was an assistant state attorney for the Tenth Judicial Circuit for seven years. She also practiced with the firms Daniel Hightower P.A. and Teresa Nightingale P.A. in 2003 and 1996, respectively.[1]
