Education
Wirtschafter received his undergraduate degree from Reed College in 1986 and his J.D. from the University of Oregon in 1990.[1]
Career
Before serving on the Superior Court of Yuba County, Wirtschafter was a public defender in Yuba County. He also served on the Marysville City Council from 2004 to 2010.[1]
2012 election
Wirtschafter won the seat of retired Judge Dennis J. Buckley. He defeated Julius M. Engel and Julius M. Engel in the primary election on June 5, winning 56.82 percent of the vote.[2][3]
