Born Free: A New Adventure plot

Medical researcher David Thompson moves to Africa with his two teenage children, Rand and Jena. Shortly after arriving, Rand learns to appreciate his surroundings by befriending lioness Elsa. Elsa has been cared for by Ellie and her daughter Val from an early age after her mother was killed to avoid ending up in a zoo. However, Elsa is now an adult and is beginning to pose a threat as she attracts other lions from the area. To prevent Elsa from ending up in a zoo, Rand and Val decide to teach Elsa survival techniques so she can learn to survive in the wild. It seems that Elsa can't adapt.
