In itself a fairly entertaining film with action and humor.. But sometimes quite long-winded..

The heist portion of the film is very weak and actually takes place in the background. The content that the film has to carry is also hard to find, Brosnan and Hayek are too weak for that. I have higher regard for Naomie Harris and Woody Harrelson, but they can no longer save the film....

In After The Sunset, Pierce Brosnan reprises his role from James Bond. The locations in the Bahamas are beautifully shot and the stunning Salma Hayek steals the show in mostly scanty clothing. However, the story is uninspired and the acting is nowhere sparkling.
Despite the relatively short running time, the film is tedious. For a comedy there is unfortunately far too little to laugh. Not the best film from director Brett Ratner, who is best known for his two Rush Hour films.
