That's funny.

I'm not familiar with the original movies, but that's not really surprising since they turn out to be Chevy Chase vehicles. There are few actors that I really avoid, but this is one of them. The film has to be listed somewhere as exceptional before I start a film with him in a leading role.

Luckily he's only in here for a short time and he's also so swollen that you barely recognize him. The rest of the film is a somewhat more modern comedy, more direct and sharper humor as we have seen in recent years. Some jokes are fun, others a bit more lame.

But just like Game Night, the film also dares to get a bit crazier every now and then. There are a number of things that you don't see very often in these kinds of films, especially the little car they are driving around. No idea what the idea behind that was, but it's a hilarious thing that carries a certain fresh absurdity with it.

It is also a comedy that never goes too much to the dramatic side or wants to be taken too seriously. Just 90 minutes of rude entertainment, there aren't really enough of those these days.

Light-hearted road movie. Jokes are a bit flat, but this movie still liked it. There are better ones in their genre. Occasionally you could see that the car was in front of a green screen. Acting performances are ok for this genre. Film does have nice pictures, like Grand Canyon. You have to be in the right mood to enjoy this one. 3*
