Spud plot
South Africa, 1990. Two important things are about to happen: Nelson Mandela is released and, more importantly, it is Spud Milton's first year in an elite boys' school. John Milton comes from an average family and wins a scholarship to study at a private school in Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa. Surrounded by boys who go by nicknames like Gecko, Rambo, Rain Man and Mad Dog, Spud has his hands full adjusting to his new home. Meanwhile, Spud also takes his first steps on the road to manhood, a road that could be long.
